Kim Kucharski

Kim Kucharski

Director, Teacher

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree from University of Michigan in Elementary Education.
  • With FPP since 2006

Interests:

Spending time with family, especially laughing a lot. Enjoys singing, walking, yoga and traveling.

Personal Philosophy:

Embrace acceptance, confidence & development. Excited to meet a child right where they are!

Zena Maghamez

Teacher & Co-Director

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Schoolcraft College
  • Preschool Teacher at Schoolcraft’s Children’s Center
  • Preschool Teacher Jackson Early Childhood Program
  • With FPP since 2022

Interests:

  • Spending time with family–Zena is a mom of twin teenage daughters
  • Cooking, exercising, shopping, outdoor exploration

Personal Philosophy: 

Kindness is always the right choice, it should be taught at the earliest age. 
Shana Butcher

Shana Butcher

Teacher

Qualifications:

  • 2 Years on Preschool Board
  • FPP Teacher Assistant since 2017

Interests:

Shana has 3 children; a daughter that graduated from Farmington High School and two sons that are alumni of Farmington Presbyterian Preschool.  In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, reading, spending time with her family, creating art and being crafty.

Personal Philosophy: Life is a never ending opportunity to learn.

Krystn Shubitowski

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University with a minor in Early Childhood
•Teacher at Northville First Care for 15 years
•With FPP since 2022
 

Interests:

  • Spending time with family (mom of four girls)
  • Traveling, sketching and crafting, writing, cycling, and outdoor summer fun

Personal Philosophy: 

Being a teacher is watching your caterpillars become beautiful butterflies. Dream big, reach for the stars, and be the best you can be.

Jessica Erickson

Teacher Assistant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustrations from Kendall College of Art & Design.
  • With FPP since 2019
  • FPP Board member for eight years, including a term as President

Interests:

Loves spending time with her family, traveling, running and gardening

•Advanced Baby Sign Language Instructor & owner of Signing Grace 2011-2017
•Preschool Board Member 2014-2021
•With FPP since 2022

Interests:

•Spending time with my family
•Hiking, gardening, crafting and traveling.
